Four companies have submitted proposals to carry out the review and optimization of three Public Investment Project profiles, after the closing of the first call for bids for Phase 1 of the project “Implementation of the Definitive Solution in the Road Axis 4 - Amazonas”.
This process is key for the improvement of the PE-5NC road: Duran Bridge - Wawico Bridge - Santa María de Nieva/Nuevo Siasme- Saramiriza Corridor, in order to boost connectivity and local development.
The receipt of the bids, which now enters the evaluation stage, marks an important milestone in the progress of the project.
Notification of the award is scheduled for Friday, November 29, while the signing of the contract is scheduled for December 20, 2024 with the start of services on January 2, 2025.
This process is developed within the framework of the State-to-State contract signed between the Government of Peru and the Government of Japan for the provision of technical assistance services for the Implementation of the Definitive Solution for the Road Axis 4 - Amazonas.
The contract is executed by the Road Axis 4 - Amazonas Consortium, which brings together the solid experience in the management of infrastructure projects of Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. (Japan) and Nippon Koei Latin America - Caribbean Co., Ltd., (Peru Branch).
The international call for Definitive Engineering Studies (EDI) and Environmental and Archaeological Component (CA) is scheduled for 2025 (Phase 2), while the international call for Construction and Supervision is scheduled for 2026 (Phase 3).
With the procurement process for the review of the profiles, the Road Axis 4 - Amazonas Project is getting closer to the materialization of the infrastructure that will benefit the region and the country as a whole.
