As part of the project "Implementation of the Definitive Solution for the Road 4 Axis - Amazonas”, under the responsibility of Provías Nacional, a contract was signed for the review and optimization of the three profiles of this important project that integrates the departments of Amazonas and Loreto.
The bidding process, which began with the participation of four consulting firms, three of them international and one national, culminated with the notification of the award on November 28 to the peruvian company CESEL S. A.,which will perform the Service.
This phase is crucial for the improvement of the PE-5NC road, which connects the section from Puente Durán, Puente Wawico, Santa María de Nieva / Nuevo Siasme and Saramiriza, with the objective of boosting connectivity and sustainable development in the regions of Amazonas and Loreto.
The project is being developed under a G2G contract between the governments of Peru and Japan, and is being executed by the PMO Eje Vial 4 - Amazonas Consortium, which includes the companies Nippon Koei Latin America - Caribbean Co., Ltd. and Nippon Koei Co., Ltd.
The profile review process (Phase 1) is the first step of a comprehensive plan that includes the preparation of the Definitive Engineering Studies (EDI), the Environmental and Archaeological Component (Phase 2), as well as the construction and supervision of the execution of the work (Phase 3).
With this progress, the Road 4 Axis - Amazonas project is consolidated as a strategic pillar for regional development, improving road infrastructure and promoting the economic and social growth of more than 105,000 inhabitants of the towns of Imaza, Nieva and Manseriche who will benefit from these improvements.
