Opportunity to participate in Road Development in Amazonas

Please take note, companies and consortiums of the transportation sector, Provias Nacional has taken a significant step towards the modernization of the country's road infrastructure by launching the first International Procurement process for the Road Axis 4 – Amazonas.

In the first stage of international procurement for this ambitious project, which will improve 214.29 km of road, the aim is to review, update and optimize the 3 profiles of the Road Axis 4 - Amazonas, a crucial road for regional connectivity and development.

Project details

The sections that will be the object of this important project are:

  • Section 1: Duran Bridge - Wawico Bridge (CUI Nº 2509636).
  • Section 2: Wawico Bridge - New Siasme - Santa María de Nieva (CUI Nº 2080997)
  • Section 3: Nuevo Siasme - Saramiriza (CUI Nº 2555351)


Consultants with experience in various specialties are required, including Topography, Traffic Survey, Road Geometric Design, and more. This is a call for all companies that have demonstrated their capacity in the rehabilitation and construction of road infrastructure in the last 10 years, with contracts exceeding US$ 5,000,000.

Who can participate? 

Companies or consortiums, both national and international, that have the necessary experience in consulting for profile or feasibility studies are invited to submit their proposals. Remember, each consultant can only submit one proposal, either individually or in consortium, and it will be valid for 120 days.

  • Submission of Bids: From October 1 to 23:59 on October 28, 2024 (Lima, Peru legal time), exclusively online.


Project impact

The project consists of the construction of a 214.29 km, two-lane road and the installation of 73 bridges. This project will not only improve the transability of the Roadway but will also contribute to closing the infrastructure gap in the country, benefiting more than 105,000 inhabitants of the towns of Imaza, Nieva and Manseriche.

The purpose of this project is to provide an efficient and safe transportation infrastructure, facilitating access to strategic services and reducing travel times for people and goods.

According to the Procurement schedule of the Consortium Road Axis 4 - Amazonas that manages the execution of this work, the international call for the execution of the Definitive Engineering Studies (EDI) and Environmental and Archaeological Component (AC) is scheduled for May 2025 and the call for Construction and Supervision for August 2026.
